Proceeds from the sale of this piece will go toward improving the classrooms and playground of St. John Child Development Center or toward Concordia University’s Center for Liturgical Art‘s effort to restore Reinhold Marxhausen’s Studio.

Description

This signed original 34” by 30” oil on canvas painting was completed in 1969. It hung on the wall of several of Marxhausen’s studios, including his Seward studio where it resided in its current frame for many years. On the reverse of the canvas is indicated that at one time the painting was for sale for $150.
