Description

This signed watercolor was painted 1953.

This piece was painted and originally shown on Reinhold and Doris’s honeymoon. Reinhold was invited to a conference to be held in Red Lodge, Montana,  and used this as a pretext to propose to Doris. They traveled across the country in an unreliable station wagon, only to find that the conference had been canceled.  The sponsor’s letter concerning the cancelation had gone astray.   The sponsor found some accommodation for them and they spent at least a week in Red Lodge during which they BOTH did quite a few watercolors and had an outdoor show.  A limited number of giclée prints are available of this piece.
