Description

These praying hands have felt on the bottom and appear to be the original form from which this mold (#1056) was created. This signed piece seems to have been broken at one time and was previously restored.

Many copies of these praying hands were made from the mold and sold in the 1960s and 1970s at Concordia Teachers College where Marxhausen was a professor (and also through CPH).

My wife tells me that the piece was most likely intentionally broken in the mold making process.
