Description

This piece is an example of a “typical” Stardust sound sculpture with the addition of a metal loop on one end such that this piece could be used as a necklace or hung in some other fashion. The loop is original to the piece as is tiny hole in the side of the piece (see image below). Reinhold Marxhausen was perhaps most famous for his Stardust sound sculptures. After they appeared on NPR and Late Night with David Letterman, he received requests for them from all over the United States. Shake or tap the Stardust then hold it to your ear. You can hear this Stardust in the video below.
